cst time step factor

in the log file of CST, there is a 'time step factor', I noticed it varied with different simulated structures, mostly more than 1. anybody know what's the meaning of this factor? and where the value comes from? please... thanks in advance.

Hi tenderne,
From what I know, CST is based on FDTD. Its solution is obtained after a number of computation steps. And this number is determined by solution convergence. You can refer to FDTD method for more detail.

cst based on finite integral method,same steps as fdtd but in integral form not in difference form

it is true that the 'time step factor' is related to convergence, seems it is related to mesh method, but i don't know what relation it is, anybody knows? thanks.
