CST simulation micrstrip array antenna
hello,
I'm new on CST studio and that's why I ask you kindly to help to get some hints to simulate the antenna from the attachement.
This for my final project.I'm not trying to find somebody to make my project for granted ,I just want to find help from somebody to make me understand some basic things.
I've measured all the dimensions of each element of the array antenna.
As I've seen there are 2 ports for this(please tell me if I'm wrong) .How can I can I build this on CST?
I really don't understand how many types of lines are there(50 ohmi,70 ohmi,100 ohmi,etc).
Can you please let me know what are the basic steps for measuring the dimensions of a Wimax microstrip array antenna (3.3-3.6 GHz ,dual polarization 15dBi, dielectric air, substrate height=6mm) and also for simulation in CST.
Thank you for your support,
It is very difficult to tell the exact impedances of this array by seeing the picture.
One would either have to do a reverse engineering by measuring all the line widths / lengths and conclude on the array. you should know the dielectric constant and the substrate height though.
It is not AIR dielectric what is given in the picture and the main design here involves the 3 way power divider along with appropriate delay lines to match the phase and enhance gain.
