Design Yagi-uda 16elements in CST
Hello everyone ! I`m having a big big problem. I designed a Yagi Uda antenna with 16 elements in CST (wire antenna ) i haved simulate in time domain with meshup . But S1.1 parametres VSWR Gain an others dosen`t look so good .Could someone look at my simulation an tell me....WHAT I AM DOING WRONG!
Why do not you try Uda-Yagi Patch...
Where do i find this patch ?
Dimensions for frequency of 1800 MHz
dear fiwi please check my design ..:)
hi sandeepkiranv,
could you please post pictures instead with questions you have in mind?
dear pragash i adjusted the waveport dimensions to achieve 50.68 line impedance at 6.5 GHz.
please give ur opinion on that....suppose if i want to check line impedance at other frequencies what i have to do
dear pragash.... i am using using conventional cpw feed
hi sandeepkiranv,
usually we don't adjust the port dimension to achieve 50ohm line impedance. your coplanar have to be 50ohm and there is a guideline to create waveguide port to get accurate results. please refer to video below.

Hi, Pragsh
i watched the video link, this video explains how to create a waveport for inset feeding. But i am using CPW feeding i believe both are two different feeding techniques. did u simulate the cst file i posted here ? please i need help to complete my project i was struck like this 6 months ago, no progress till date :(
dear fiwi.... i didnot understand ur comment...please elaborate :)
hi,
i have no time to run simulation but i can suggest you ways and we can discuss the output here. waveguide port will still be in the same dimension coplanar waveguide feed i believe.
if you have doubt that your waveguide port affecting your results, you can try simulating with discrete port and compare the results. usually the results of both ports should be comparable.
