how to design a resistance or inductor on a coplanar lines with cst studio
Hallo ,
Im working right now on a new Project, we are designing an Helix antenna on a pcb board using the Simulation Software cst Studio. but i have a Problem and really hope somebody here can help me.
on the antenna board we are using a coplanar line but we also use a inductor and capacitor for matching the live with the other line part going to the Helix . my Problem is, i dont know how to make the design of the inductor and capacitor or resistance on my line with cst studio
It's wonderfully easy!
Within the 3D view of microwave studio what you want to do is select "Lumped Element" on the "Simulation" ribbon. In the dialog box that pops up, specify the RLC (or diode) values/parameters you want, and the x,y,z coordinates of the "terminals".
If you've already drawn the SMD pads of the components you want to insert, you can use the "pick point" tool to select the two end points prior to choosing the lumped element dialog and CST is intelligent enough to conveniently insert the coordinates for you.
thx .. really easy it works
Its informative. Thnx @thylacine1975.
But I want to ask something as well.. How can i add schottky diode HSMS 2850 with its parameters in 3D antenna design CST MWS?
Dear Sir..
Can you please tell about the procedure to simulate various kind of diodes alongwith MSA. Thanks in advance..
yes u can add a schottky diode with its parameters in d antenna design ...
..Simulation .....sources and loads.... Lumped Element..... diode
microwave79 .. what does MSA mean?
@jamesy: Thanks for the reply. But how do I add all the relevant parameters of Schottky diode. The tab just asks for R,LC values but schottky diodes have more parameters to it.
MSA (Microstrip antenna)
